Welsh Cookies

Ingredients
4 C flour1.25 C sugar1 C butter2.5 t. baking powder.5 t. baking soda1 t. salt2 t. nutmeg1/5 package currents (about 1.5 C unpacked)1 egg.75 C milk (1%)
Directions
Mix dry ingredients. Add butter, cutting in with pastry cutter until the size of peas. Add currents, egg, and milk. Mix well. Roll out on a floured board and cut with a 2.5 inch cookie cutter. Bake on a griddle or electric frying pan at 300 degrees. Turn after a minute and cook for an other minute. Yields about 8.5 dozen. These are very plain in appearance, but quickly became a favorite in our home! Enjoy!
