Green Beans W/ French Herbs

1 lb green beans or haricot verts ends trimmed2 tsp olive oil1 tsp minced garlic½ cup chopped green onions¼ tsp dried oregano¼ tsp dried thyme¼ tsp dried tarragon¼ tsp dried marjoram¼ tsp freshly ground black pepperSuggestion: I substitute 1 tsp of Herbes de Provence for the herbs listed above. I use 2 tsp because I like lots of herbs.
In a covered saucepan, steam beans until tender, about 5 to 10 minutes.
Drain and plunge into cold water to stop cooking. Drain well.
Meanwhile, heat oil in a large sauté pan over medium heat.
Add garlic and green onions and sauté for 2 minutes.
Stir in beans, herbs and pepper. Sauté and stir until all are heated throughout.
Transfer to a serving dish or casserole dish. May be served hot or at room temp.
