Tomato-Basil Chicken Pasta

Ingredients
2 c onion1 c fresh basil chopped4 garlic cloves1 Tbsp olive oil5 cups tomatoes, diced (canned)1 (6 oz) can tomato paste1/2 t crushed red pepper1/2 t salt1/4 t pepper1 lb pasta2 lbs chicken breast, cooked and cubed1/2 c parmesan cheese shredded
Directions
Saute onion, basil, garlic and olive oil, stir in tomato, paste, red pepper, salt, pepper, bring to a boil. Reduce heat and simmer for 30 minutes. Meanwhile, cook pasta. Add chicken to tomato mixture and top over pasta then cheese. Serving is approx. 1 c chicken/tomato mixture and 1 c pasta.
