Ingredients
Directions
2 lbs. ground beef4 regular cans of tomatoes2 cans of Rotel tomatoes1 4 oz. can of green chiles.5 raw onionsalt and pepper to taste.5 cup chili powder2 Tbsp. red pepper flakes5 regular can of chili beans
Brown the ground beef. Drain and set aside.
You need a BIG pot. We use a blender to mix all the other ingredients except the beans. It is best to blend it in batches with a little of everything so that is gets well mixed and the flavors can be fully incorporated.
Pour into the BIG pot and add the hamburger. Cook this mixture at medium heat for at least an hour. The flavors will start to blend together and there won't be any chunks. The longer you cook it the smoother it gets.
Add beans a couple of hours before you serve. Stir constantly and cook on a low heat so that the beans don't burn.
Makes 12 - 2 cup servings.
