Cottage Pie

Ingredients
1 lb ground beef1 cup frozen green beans1 cup frozen peas1 carrot, diced1 can cream of mushroom soup6 cups mashed potatoes1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
Directions
Brown and drain ground beef. Add frozen vegetables and a little water. Cook until water is boiled off and vegetables are tender. Add condensed soup. Put meat mixture in bottom of casserole dish. Cover with mashed potatoes. Sprinkle cheese on top and broil until cheese is melted.

    I like the idea of using a can of cream of mushroom soup. Saves me from having to do the flour, tomato paste, wine, broth, etc. in the "old fashioned" recipes. Saves me some time. I will have to change it up a bit before committing it to my meal planner for the day, I used fake potatoes - 2/4/10
