3 Lb. Chuck Roast (Trimmed of Fat)1/2 large brown onion, cut into chunks4 cloves Garlic, minced7 large carrots, cut into chunks7 Red potatoes, quartered1 Envelope Dry Onion Soup Mix1 1/2 cups Red Wine2 tsp salt1tsp freshly ground black pepper1 tablespoon Herbs de Provance (or substitute Thyme)3/4 cup water
Using a large slow cooker, put in cut carrots, potatoes, onions, garlic, and roast. Spinkle the roast with the onion soup mix, salt, pepper and herbs. Pour in water and wine. Cook on high 8 hours. Makes 8 servings.
