Cornmeal Rolls

Ingredients

1/3 cup cornmeal1/2 cup sugar2 tsp. salt1/2 cup butter2 cups milk1 package yeast1/4 cup warm water (105-115 degrees)2 eggs4-5 cups flour
Put first 5 ingred. in pot and cook til thick. Stir frequently. It should reach the consistency of thinnish cream of wheat.
Let it cool. Add yeast to warm water and add that to cooled cornmeal mixture.
Add eggs and mix and then add flour one cup at a time. (4 cups normally works fine)
Cover and let rise in warm oven, punch down and roll out on a floured surface. Cut out with rim of a glass.
Sprinkle cornmeal on cookie sheet and put rounds on sheet, cover and let rise in warm oven.
Bake for 15-20 minutes in 375 degree oven.
