The cocoa added a unique flavor to the mix. It was very good without being to sweet. If you like sweet oatmeal this isn't for you. I don't though so it was perfect with the bonus of lots of antioxidants from the blueberries! - 3/27/07

I love this recipe, except when I make it I add chocolate protein powder instead of the cocoa - 4/21/09

I could swallow it. I had to add splenda, but then it had that chemical taste. I was sad that I couldn't taste the chocolate. My daughter(an oatmeal lover) didn't finish her bowl. - 6/2/08

I really did not like the cocoa added to the mixture. It really needed more sweetness added with that in there I wanted to add more brown surgar and I am trying to stay away from the butter and surgar. I may try with just blueberries next time or stawberries but I know I did not like the cocoa. - 3/26/07

I used soy milk instead of water and lightened up on the blueberries. I added cinnamin and a bit of sugar. It was delicious eventho it looked blue. lol lol - 6/20/09

Instead of the brown sugar I added splenda. I eat oatmeal with flax and blueberries everyday, but not with chocolate. I know chocolate is healthy so it is an interesting way to get it in without a lot of calories. - 3/25/09

This was very plain and almost pasty tasting. I had to add additional water just so I could swallow it. It is an interesting recipe, but I think I will stick to my homemade apple cinnamon oatmeal; it is lower in calories and it tastes much more to my liking. - 5/3/07

Interesting flavor as is. I HAD to add some splenda and a touch of milk though. It was a little too plain for me. It doesn't taste chocolaty, which was a disappointment, although it doesn't taste like plain outmeal either. I'll try it again with more experimenting - 4/21/07

I also cut out the Brown sugar from sugar-free maple syrup & I eat oatmeal everyday. I make my own & new ways are great!! - 5/12/09

Woo-Hoo! One of my favorite breakfasts with the surprise addition of Cocoa! We go to a blueberry farm every July on our anniversary to pick them fresh and stock the freezer. - 12/17/08

A nice change to the regular oatmeal. I added soy milk to the finished product because that is how I eat it. - 3/7/08

This was very good. I don't like a lot of sweet things so I didn't even use a whole tbls of brown sugar. I drizzled a little maple syrup on my boyfriends for some sweetness but I ate my mostly plain. We both thought it was very good and will make it again. - 2/21/10

I must admit when I first saw this. (Being a Star Wars fan) I thought of Blue milk. Blue Oatmeal is pretty darn good. - 5/6/09

I loved it. My husband wasn't crazy about the cocoa in it, but oh well. I used mixed berries instead, but it was good! - 3/26/09
