This recipe is awesome! I actually made it twice. The first time I used a store brand angel food cake mix and it didn't work so well. The second time I used the Betty Crocker mix and the cake was even better! - 8/22/07

I made this tonight for my son's 30th birthday. I stupidly put it in an angel food cake pan (despite your directions), and the thing flopped. But it didn't matter a bit. Everyone scarfed it up, with the sugar-free Cool Whip on top! Thank you so much for such a light and totally scrumptious recipe! ) - 7/1/07

I made sure to use the Betty Crocker after reading the other reviews. It turned out great. I whipped it for a minute and it was so light and frothy! I had enough for (1) 11 x 7 and (1) 8 x 8 which is great because I am single so I have one to keep and one to share. - 4/29/13

I made this for my granddaughters birthday. Best Angel Food Pineapple cake I have ever had. Turned out Heavenly! (No Pun Intended). We all loved it. It didn't even need cool whip. Very, Very moist. Quick and easy. - 8/13/12

I loved this. I used fresh pineapple run through the blender to make it "crushed". I put mine in a bundt pan and it flopped in structure, but man, oh man, the taste was divine! (Not your fault I used the wrong pan, lol.) I enjoyed this very much. Thank you for sharing the recipe. - 7/3/11

Tasted great. Easy to make. Guilt-free sweet. Definitely will make again. Next time I'll try the cherry pie filling version. - 4/13/10

I made this recipe the first time using Dole crushed pineapple and it worked great. The next time I used an off brand of pineapple. For some reason, it dropped from the pan while it was cooling, causing it to collapse. It still tasted great. - 4/5/10

This is a fantastic low fat dessert..or little snack with a nice cup of hot tea. Add 1 carton of fat free Pina Colada yogurt into the tub of no calorie whipped cream...sumptious! - 9/5/09

This looks like it would be great. Do you make the cake mix as the package directs and then add the pineapple or just blend the pineapple and the dry cake mix?? - 8/4/09

This was very good! I made it in an angel food cake pan as well, it was flatter and not as fluffly as a normal angel food cake, but still delicious. I also added a few tablespoons of coconut. MMmmm next time I'm thinking about doing half pineapple half mandarin oranges. - 10/3/07
