Admonition Coconut Cake

Ingredients
2 cups sugar2 cups sour cream2 (6oz) pkgs frozen coconut1 yellow cake mix (2 layer)1 (9oz.) Cool Whip, thawed
Directions
Night before baking cake, combine sugar, sour cream and coconut, refrigerate 24 hours. Next day - bake cake according to directions. Bake in 2 layers. Cool. Split each layer into 2 more layers for a total of 4.
Save 1/2 cup of icing mixture and mix with Cool-Whip.
Fill layers with sour cream-coconut mix and stack. Ice whole cake with Cool Whip (will look messy). Seal in foil. Refrigerate 4 days before serving.
