Spanish Style Braised Lentils with Sausage and Chard

Ingredients
Jennie O Turkey Smoked Sausage, 14 oz (remove)Dried Lentils, 1.5 cup (remove)Garlic, 2 clove (remove)Water, tap, 1 cup (8 fl oz) (remove)Scallions, raw, 2 medium (4-1/8" long) (remove)Chicken Broth, 21 fl oz (remove)Canned Tomatoes, 1.5 can (remove)Chili powder, 2 tsp (remove)Paprika, 2 tsp (remove)Onions, raw, 1.5 cup, chopped (remove)Olive Oil, 1.5 1tsp (remove)Swiss Chard, 300 grams (remove)thyme
Directions
Heat oil in pressure cooker pan. Saute sausage until browned. Transfer to a dish, leave fat in pan (there should be minimal left). Add onion and 1/2 tsp salt to the pan with the fat. Cook until softened, about 5 minutes. Stir in garlic, paprika, chili powder, and thyme. Cook until fragrant. Stir in tomatoes, broth, water, lentils, and sausage. Bring to a boil, add chard, cover with lid and lock lid. Bring to pressure level 1 according to your pressure cookers instructions. Cook 10-14 minutes. Allow to release pressure using the natural release method. Serve over rice.

    You can make this without a pressure cooker. Soak lentils for about 30 minutes, drain. Follow directions on recipe. - 12/30/12
