Quick Split Pea Soup

Ingredients
1 lb green split peas, dried4 cups low sodium chicken stock4 cups water1/2 medium onion, chopped20 baby carrots, slice1 tsp seasoning salt1/2 tsp black pepper1/2 tsp garlic salt1 tbs parsley, dried
Directions
In a medium pot add all the ingredients.
Bring to a boil.
Reduce heat and partially cover.
Allow to cook 30 to 45 minutes or until peas are tender.
Makes 8 servings each about 1 cup.

    Ive never cooked split peas before so I followed the bag and your recipe. 45min is not enough to make the peas tender, next time I know to start earlier lol. Thanks for shareing. - 8/27/12
