1.5c brown rice3c water (more for softer rice)1 pkt sazon con pimiento1T garlic powder3T sofrito (frozen or fresh)2 tsp adobo1 or 2 cans pink beans rinsed and drained2T chopped ham or pork (optional)
Put all ingredients except beans in 2 qt saucepan. Bring to a boil . Stir. Reduce to simmer with a lid. Once all water is absorbed add pink beans(or whatever kind you prefer). You can also add corn, green olives, red pepper or other veggies. Makes 8 1 cup servings.
