Rigatoni with Sausage, Peppers, and Onions

1/4 cup olive oil1 lb. sweet turkey sausage2 red bell peppers1 large yellow onion1 tsp salt1 tsp pepper4 cloves garlic1/2 cup basil2 T tomato paste1 c. Marsala wine1 can diced tomatos1 lb rigatoni
1. heat oil in a large skillet. add the sausages and cook until brown, remove from pan.
2. keeping pan over med. heat, add bell peppers, onions, salt, and basil cook for 2 minutes. add the tomato paste and stir until incoperated then add marsala, tomatoes with their juice. stir to combine, scraping the bottom of the pan, bring to simmer
3. cut sausages into 4-6 pieces each return to pan simmer uncovered for 20 minues
4. prepare pasta. drain pasta and add to the thickened sauce. toss to combine
makes 6 servings
