Sounds good. The brown rice is an excellent idea. Sazon is great to use in the absence of Saffron. You could substitute Roma tomatoes for the canned and possibly save a bunch on the sodium. If you salt it use sea salt. It enhances the flavor. - 2/24/10

Delish!!! I added some lemon for a little added zest and of course a few dashes of hot sauce. Also... swapped peas for the soybeans because i had those on hand. Thanks for the great reciped!! - 1/17/12

We enjoyed this recipe. Changes included english peas instead of soy beans and a little olive oil vs spray. I would suggest to drain tomatoes before adding to lessen the liquid in the recipe. - 3/27/09

This looks great. I have a question; does the word SAZON (in the directions) mean Season to taste? Thank you for the recipe. - 3/20/09

Sazon is a seasoning product made by GOYA. You can find it in the hispanic food isle.

Wonder what other kind of bean I could use instead of soybeans? Sounds good like something my husband would eat with me. - 3/18/09

Just about it any bean you choose. This was just what I had on hand when I created it.
