Fakeout Corner Bakery D.C. Chicken Salad

2 cooked boneless skinless chicken breasts, cubed1 c. seedless red grapes, halved6 tbsp minced red onion0.5 c. diced celery0.5 c. diced fresh green apple0.25 c. light mayo (not Miracle Whip!)2 T slivered almondssalt, pepper, celery seed to taste
1. Mix all ingredients together in a large bowl. Best the next day if you have time to let it sit.

Great on crackers, stuffed in a pita, or just by itself. For the authentic D.C. Chicken Salad sandwich, sprinkle in some currents or raisins and serve on pumpernickel or steakhouse rye with romaine lettuce and sliced tomato.
