Nicki's homemade Filling soup

Ingredients
2 small onions3 medium carrots2 medium potatoes1.2 green bell pepper2 vegetable stock cubes1 1/2 pint of water2 cans chopped tomatoes1 tbsp olive oil1/2 cup of puy lentils1/2 cup of barley1 spicy lentil cup a soup1 tbsp soy sauce
Directions
Cut all vegetables into 1/2 inch pieces.
Pre heat a large pan with the olive oil,
Fry the onions slowly for 5 mins.
Add the chopped vegetables , oregano and continue to fry for another 5 mins
Add the chopped tomatoes, stock cubes, water, lentils and barley.
Turn the pan down to simmer for 10 mins.
Add soy sauce
Turn down onto the lowest heat for 15/20mins - subject to how soft you like your soup.
Turn the heat off and leave for the soup to swell.
