Specialty Hamburgers

Ingredients
Prepare 4 hamburgers.1 cup sliced onions1 (15-oz) can tomato sauce1 tbsp. dried oregano1/2 cup dry red wine (ex. burgundy)1/2 cup catsupSalt & Pepper to taste1 small can (4 oz) sliced mushrooms, drained
Directions
Prepare hamburgers and cook half way in skillet. Saute sliced onions with the hamburgers. Pour off some of the fat. Mix together in separate bowl: tomato sauce, catsup, wine, oregano, salt, pepper and mushrooms. Pour over hamburgers and onions.

Simmer, covered, for 20 minutes.

Serve with grated cheese for topping. Can be served with or without a bun. Great with just a salad.
