Mona's Homemade Granola

Ingredients
2 cups chopped dates1/2 cup walnuts1 1/4 cups hot water1 cup honey1Tbls. vanilla2 tsp cinnamon3/4 tsp salt 1cup wheat bran1 cup flax seed12 cups uncooked oats1 cup shredded unsweetened coconut2 cups slivered almonds
Directions
Place dates & walnuts in blender. Add hot water, honey, vanilla, salt, cinnamon, wheat bran & flax. Blend til smooth. Place oats, coconut & almonds in large bowl. Add blended mix to oats & gently mix together with wooden spoon until oats are evenly coated. Place in large cake pans or cookie sheets. Keep it light & airy - DO NOT pack. Place pans in oven @ 225 for about 2 hrs. Stir after 30 minutes, continue baking, stir after 30 min, then at least every 15 minutes til done.
