Country Fried Steak (No Gravy)

Ingredients
1 1/2 to 2 pounds boneless round steak1/3 cup all purpose flour1/4 tsp salt1/4 tsp pepper3 tbsp Sunflower oil2 small onions, sliced1/4 cup water
Directions
Trim excess fat from steak; pound steak into 1/4 inch thickness using a meat mallet. Cut into serving size pieces.

Combine 1/3 cup flour, 1/4 tsp salt, & 1/4 tsp pepper. Dredge steak in flour mixture; lightly pound floured steak. Cook steak in hot oil in skillet until browned, turning steak once. Add sliced onion and water; cover, reduce heat, and simmer 30 minutes or until tender.

Makes about 4 servings.
