Oatmeal Chocolate Chip Cookies

Ingredients
1 cup margarine1/2 cup brown sugar2 tbsp white sugar1 egg1 tsp vanilla1 1/2 cups flour1/2 tsp salt1 tsp baking soda1/4 cup boiling water2 cups rolled oats1 cup chocolate chips
Directions
Bake at 350 degrees for 12 minutes or until lightly browned.

Beat butter, sugar, eggs and vanilla together until light and fluffy.
In a separate bowl, combine dry ingredients. Stir into creamed mixture.
Dissolve soda in hot water. Stir into creamed mixture.
Drop batter by teaspoonfuls onto ungreased cookie sheets. Flatten with bottom of glass dipped in flour.
