Eat Well Beef and Spinach Stir-fry

Ingredients
1 lb. stir-fry beef2 Tbsp. low sodium soy salt1/4 tsp. 5 spice powder(ingredients to follow)1/2 c. water3 stp. corn starch1 Tbsp. Canola oil1 tsp. fresh gingerroot1 10 oz. bag fresh spinach1 can sliced water chestnuts***5 spice powder1 tsp. cinnamon1 tsp. crushed anise seed1/4 tsp. fennel seed1/4 tsp. black pepper1/4 tsp. Szechwan pepper
Directions
Combine soy sauce and 5 spice powder and pour over the meat. Allow to set at least 15 minutes. In small bowl combine the water and corn starch.
Preheat wok or large electric skillet and add the oil and gingerroot. Add half the meat and stir fry about 3 minutes. Remove meat and repeat with other half.
Combine remaining marinade and the cornstarch mixture and pour into wok. Stir until thick. Return all meat to wok and add the water chestnuts and the spinach. Stir until spinach starts wilting and cover for 2 minutes. Serves 6.
