Slow Cooker Chicken Tagine

Ingredients
4 boneless/skinless chicken breast halves cut in to 1 inch pieces1large onions, halved and sliced thin 4 large carrots, peeled & thinly sliced1/2 cup raisins1/2 cup dried apricots, coarsely chopped2 cups chicken broth2 tablespoons tomato paste2 tablespoons lemon juice2 tablespoons flour2 teaspoons garlic salt1.5 teaspoon ground cumin1.5 teaspoon ground ginger1 teaspoon ground cinnamon3/4 teaspoon black pepper2 cups couscous, cookedToasted pine nuts for garnish (optional)
Directions

Cook: 5 hours high or 8 hours low

1. In a 6-quart slow cooker, layer chicken, onions, carrot, raisin, and apricots.

2. In medium-size bowl, whisk chicken broth, tomato paste, lemon juice, flour, garlic salt, cumin, ginger, cinnamon, and black pepper. Pour over chicken and veggies.

3. Cook 5 hours on high or 8 hours on low.

4. Serve over cooked couscous and garnish with pine nuts.
