Ingredients
1/2 c. shortening or part butter/shortening1/2 c sugar1/4 c. splenda1 egg1 1/3 c flour1 tsp cream of tartar1/2 tsp baking sodacalled for 1/8 tsp salt which I left out.
makes 2 dozen 2 1/2 inch cookies. Heat oven to 400 degrees. Mix ingredients together--sift dry ingredients together and add to shtn, sugar and egg. Roll into balls and roll in mixture of 1 Tb sugar and 1 tsp cinnamon. Bake 8 min. Write fortunes on little strips of paper and stick into cookies last couple minutes of baking.
