Whole grain muffins

Ingredients
3/4 c. milk, 3/4 c. bran cereal, 1 egg, 1/4 c. vegetable oil, 1/4 c. molasses or honey, 1/4 c. firmly packed brown sugar, 1 c. Quaker oats, 2/3 c. whole wheat flour, 1 t. baking powder, 1/4 t. saltOptional: Add 1/2 raisins, fruit, or nuts (dates and frozen blueberries work particularly well!)
Directions
Combine milk and bran cereal in medium sized bowl, and let soak. Add egg, oil, molasses, and brown sugar; mix well. Combine dry ingredients separately, then mix into other bowl until just moistened. Fill 12 greased or paper-lined muffin cups 2/3 full. Bake in preheated hot oven at 400* about 15 minutes.
