Ingredients
2 cups Flour, white,1 tbsp Ginger, ground, 2 tsp Baking Soda,1 tsp Cinnamon, ground, 1/2 tsp Salt3/4 cup Shortening1 cup Splenda1 large Egg, fresh1/4 cup Molasses * Granulated Sugar for coating
Directions
Crean shortening, add sugar adn egg. Add remaining ingredients except 1/4 cup of sugar reserved for coating balls. Roll into balls. Roll into remaining sugar.

Bake 8 - 10 minutes at 350 degree F.

    Easy recipe that I would make again. Mine came out like little scones using the "ball" shape so I flattened the next batch. I tweaked the recipe a bit using 3/4 cup Splenda & 1/4C sugar. I used 0 cal ICBINB spray and Smart Balance as the shortening. Thanks Nancy! - 8/15/11
