Chili with Red Kidney Beans

Ingredients
1 lb. ground chuck1 large onion, chopped2 - 3 Jalapeño peppers, seeded and chopped 2 cups of soaked and cooked red kidney beans3 cups of stewed tomatoes, skins removed1 tbs chili powder1 tsp powdered cumin1 tbs cilantro3.5 oz dry red wine
Directions
In a large pot, combine ground chuck, onion and peppers. Cook on medium until beef is well browned and vegetables tender. Add beans, tomatoes and spices. Bring to a simmer and add wine. Cook on low for 40 minutes.

Makes 7 one cup servings.

    I made this last night and it was so good! I tried to eat 2 cups and was so full by the end I wasn't able to.
    I was a little confused by the lack of liquid, so I added 1 cup of water and that seemed to do the trick. - 1/25/11
