Ingredients
sift together:1 1/2 cups of flour3/4 cup cocoa1 1/2 cups sugar1 tsp baking powderwhisk together:2 eggs1 cup unsweetened applesauce3 tbsp melted butter1 tsp vanillastir into dry flour mixture, turn into a greased pan and smooth top. bake in center of oven for 35 to 40 min. cool on a rack before cutting. will keep for two days at room temperature.
