Goulash II

1 lb ground beef1 cup chopped onions (or to taste)5 cloves chopped garlic (or to taste)Chili Powder (to taste)4 medium carrots, chopped1 bell pepper, sliced1 package frozen broccoli8 oz whole wheat spirals1 cup ketchup (to taste)
Brown beef over medium head with garlic and onions. Add chili powder and any other desired spices (cayenne pepper adds spiciness). After beef is brown, add 2/3 of ketchup and bell peppers and simmer.
Meanwhile, boil water for pasta. After pasta has been cooking for a few minutes, I add the carrots so they cook more quickly.
Drain pasta (and carrots) and return to pan. Add beef mixture and stir in broccoli and remaining ketchup. Season to taste. Cook until broccoli is done and flavors are well-blended.
Makes 6 1-1/2 cup servings.
