Soy and rice burgers

2 T oil2 T onion, chopped1 cup mashed tofu1 cup cooked brown rice1/2 cup grated cheese1 cup toasted, unsalted sunflower seeds, ground or chopped1/3 cup whole wheat flour2 eggs beaten2 t shoyu or soy sauce1/2 t basil and celery seed
Saute onion in oil. Toss other ingredients in a large bowl; add onion. Shape into patties & cook on a griddle or skillet. You can also bake them @ 350 for 20 minutes, turning once. You can make a batch and keep in the fridge, schooping out a burger to cook when you need it, or you can freeze uncooked patties. Makes about 8, 1/2-cup burgers.
