Homemade Buttermilk Ranch Dip/ Dressing

Ingredients
1/2 c. reduced fat sour cream1/2 c. plain, lowfat yogurt2 Tbsp. lowfat buttermilk1 clove chopped fresh garlic1 Tbsp chopped fresh chivessalt- sea salt preferred
Directions
Place clove of chopped garlic in the bottom of a shallow glass bowl. Sprinkle lightly with salt. Using the tines of a fork, mash the garlic until it becomes a paste. Add sour cream, yogurt, buttermilk and chives tot he bowl. Stir to combine. Optionally, a Tbsp. of fresh chopped parsley or 1 teaspoon of dried flakes may be added in addition to the chives. Transfer dip to a storage container and refrigerate overnight to allow flavors to blend. Enjoy the next day anyway you would store bought ranch dressing. This recipe makes eight 2 Tbsp. servings.

    I find this to be very, very bland. It does work with spicy food combos - like as a dip for spicier chicken wings. Like the Lowfat aspect. I find it hard to always find lowfat buttermilk, but light works. - 9/8/18

    Fixed this ranch dressing this AM. Very east to fix. I put in 2 garlic cloves. Everything else was according to recipe it was great. I will definitely will fix again. - 6/17/17
