Chocolate Chip Sponge Cake - Passover

Ingredients
9 eggs at room temp1.5 cup sugar3 T potato starch3/4 c cake meal 1/2 lemon/orange - juice and rind1/4 bar chocolate - grated
Directions
Key - don't stop beating
beat 9 eggs 5 minutes
Add pinch salt and sugar a little at a time
Beat 5 minutes.
Add potato starch and cake meal, juice and rind
Beat 5 minutes on medium speed
On low - fold in chocolate
Bake 1 hr @ 350 degress in a round tube pan

    I left out the chocolate chips - only because we cannot buy them here in Ukraine. The cake is wonderful! I am going to give the rest away. I had my taste - now I need to allow others to enjoy this wonderful cake. - 8/17/09

    Good recipe... if you seperate the egss the cake will come out fluffier but the chocolate chips fall a little more to the bottom.. - 4/14/08
