Ingredients
2 tubes reduced-fat crescent rolls (I use Pillsbury or Kroger brand. I do not care for the Walmart generic, however.)1 lb. ground turkey breast8 oz reduced-fat shredded cheese (mild cheddar, 2% milk)reduced sodium taco seasoning
Directions
Brown meat with taco seasoning. Add small amount of water as it browns, so it will not burn (since there is barely any fat in the meat). For those new to browning ground turkey meat, you will need to keep chopping up the ground breast meat with a utensil as it browns, so that it will cook fully and not be chunky.

Preheat the oven to 375. Arrange crescent rolls triangles on cookie sheet, so that they overlap and create a large oval. Add meat mixture and top with shredded cheese.

Take the points of the triangles, pull each over and tuck under the inner part of the oval, so that it sticks to the underside of the dough. Repeat all around, then place in the oven.

Bake for 15-20 minutes (depending on your oven) and slice between sections.

Makes 16 servings.

I made a half batch as a square because my brain couldn't figure out how to do an oval at the time :) You can get 4 servings out of a half batch but each serving is technically 2 because of the double crescent roll. I used chicken because I had it on hand and was told to make it again. - 4/18/11
