Oatmeal Chocolate Chip Cookies

Ingredients
2 1/2 sticks butter at room temperature3/4 brown sugar1/2 cup sugar1 egg2 tsp vanilla1 1/2 cups flour1 tsp. baking soda1/2 tsp. salt3 cups of oatmeal - not quick cook1 cup chocolate chips
Directions
In a mixing bowl, blend butter, brown sugar, sugar, egg, and vanilla. In a seperate bowl, mix flour, soda, salt, oats, and chocolate chips. Slowly add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients. Scoop onto parchment lined cookie sheet. Bake in 350 degree oven for 10-12 minutes until slightly brown on the edges. Do not overcook!
