Maple Almond Pancakes

Ingredients
1 cup all purpose flour1/4 c flaxseed meal1/3 cup finely chopped or gound almonds1 1/2 tsp baking powder1/2 tsp baking soda1/2 tsp salt1 1/4 cup reduced fat buttermilk1/4 cup maple syrup1 lrg egg
Directions
Whisk first 5 dry ingredients to blend. Whisk buttermilk, maple syrup and egg in another bowl. Add buttermilk mixture to dry ingredients and whisk until incorporated. Brush nonstick skillet with oil and heat over medium heat. Add batter to skillet by scant 1/4 cupfuls. Cook until bubbles appear on surface, turn and cook until golden brown. Makes 12 pancakes.
