Strawberry Refrigerator Cake

1 (18.25 oz) strawberry cake mix3 large eggs1 cup water1/3 cup vegetable oil2-1/2 cups strawberries, stems removed1 (3.5 oz) pkg instant vanilla or banana flavored pudding mix1 cup skim milk2 cups light Cool Whip1 cup sliced fresh strawberries
In mixing bowl, combine cake mix, eggs, oil and water according to package directions. Bake in 13x9 greased pan in 350 degree oven for 35 minutes, remove from oven and cool completely. Puree the 2-1/2 cups of strawberries in a blender or food processor til smooth, pour over cooled cake, spreading to cover completely. In a medium mixing bowl, whisk together pudding mix and milk til thickened. fold in cool whip until well blended. Pour over pureed strawberries on cake, spread evenly. Cover lightly and refrigerate for minimum of 4 hours. Top with sliced strawberries right before serving. Makes up to 24 servings.
