Ingredients
Directions
5 lbs white potatoes1 stick butter1 cup milk1 T. salt1 tsp black pepper
Peel and wash the potatoes, then dice them into 1' pieces (approximate size is ok). Place in a large pan, cover with water, bring to a boil.
Lower heat to medium and gently boil for about 20 minutes. Potatoes should pierce easily with a fork when done.
Remove pan from heat. Using a colander, drain the potatoes and return them to the pan. Slice up a stick of butter and add to the potatoes.
Mash potatoes with hand mixer. While mixing, add milk, salt and pepper, and continue beating until potatoes are smooth (you can leave lumps if you prefer them that way).
