Ingredients
Sweet Corn, Fresh, 10 ear, small (5-1/2" to 6-1/2" long) Bacon grease, 2 tsp Bacon, 2 medium slices, cooked (raw product )1/2 cup waterButter, unsalted, 2 tbsp (remove
Directions
Makes 4 servings.
This takes a while to prepare as corn must be cleaned of husk and silk.
Then slice corn off the cob.
Cook 2 strips of bacon. retain 2 tablespoosns of bacon grease, add corn and 1/2 cup of water, and 2 tablespoons of unsalted butter and cook till liquid is mostly gone.
Season with salt and pepper as desired.
Crumble bacon and stir in.
Can add onions or peppers to enhance flavors.

    This is sooo tasty! I love cooking with bacon grease but only use it occasionally since it is high cholesterol. I was confused on the recipe because it lists teaspoons but the directions are tablespoons. You will need the tablespoons to make it tasty :) Will definitely keep this one in my recipes! - 8/2/10
