Buttermilk Waffles

Ingredients
6 tbsp. butter2 eggs1 3/4 cups buttermilk2 cups flour1/4 tsp baking soda1 1/2 tsp baking powder1/2 tsp salt1 tablespoon sugar
Directions
Preheat the waffle iron.
Melt butter in mixing bowl in the microwave, then add the eggs and buttermilk and whisk together. Add the dry ingredients and whisk just until combined. It will be a thick batter.
Lightly brush the waffle iron plates with canola oil, then use 1/4 of the batter, and cook for 3 minutes. Check and cook 1 minute more if needed for a crispy waffle. Keep warm while you cook the other 3 waffles.

As these are generously sized, 1/2 of a waffle with fresh berries and syrup or whipped cream is a serving.
