"Hot" Chocolate Brownies

3/4 cup cocoa powder3/4 cup shortening2 cups sugar4 eggs1 tsp vanilla1 1/4 cups flour1 tsp baking powder1 tsp salt2 (8 oz) cans chopped green chiliespowdered sugar
Heat oven to 350 degrees. Grease 13x9 in cake pan.
Heat coacoa and shortening in a pan over low heat until melted.
Remove from heat.
Mix in sugar, eggs, and vanilla.
Stir in flour, baking powder, and salt.
Add in 2 (8 oz) cans chopped green chilies.
Spread batter into pan.
Bake at 350 for 30 minutes.
Cool slightly on rack and sprinkle with powdered sugar.
