Blackstrap baked beans

Ingredients
2 cups dried great northern beanswater to cover4 pieces bacon, cur into 1 inch pieces1 tsp salt1/4 cup blackstrap molasses1/2 teas mustard1 medium onion, chopped2 Tbsp catsup
Directions
Soak beans overnight in plenty of water to cover. drain most of the water off, leaving about a cup of liquid in the pan. Add all the other ingredients. Cook until beans are soft and dark brown; I use a pressure cooker with 10 lbs weight. for about an hour hours. In a crock pot it usually takes 8-10 hours, covered. In the oven, about the same. Make sure the beans don't fry out when cooking- stir occasionally, especially if using the oven, and be sure they are covered tightly. Makes 6 servings, about a cup each.
