Tandoori Style Chicken

2 kilograms chicken pieces, skinnedMarinade ingredients:2 cups natural yogurt4 cloves of garlic, minced1 inch of ginger, peeled and gratedjuice of 2 lemons2 tsp salt2 tsp curry powder2 tsp cumin2 tsp turmeric2 tsp paprika1 tsp hot pepper flakes2 lemons for wedges when serving
Skin the chicken pieces and cut deep slits in the flesh to allow the marinade to penetrate. Put the chicken in a plastic container, preferably long and shallow, with a snap on lid.
Mix the marinade and pour over the chicken pieces, rubbing it in well. Refrigerate for 1 or 2 days, turning the pieces when you remember.
Take out of the fridge two hours before grilling as the chicken will not cook through without burning if it is cold in the middle.
Shake off the marinade, and grill slowly over indirect heat until cooked through. Serve with lemon wedges.
