Apple oatmeal scone

Ingredients
Directions
3 cups whole wheat flour0.5 cup sugar1 cup oats1 cup apples, diced0.75 cup buttermilk, low fat0.5 cup shortening1 tsp salt1 tsp baking soda2 tsp baking powder2 eggs
Mix all ingredients together by hand. Mixture should be crumbly. Do not over mix!
Spray Pam on a regular sized ice cream scoop to drop mixture on ungreased baking sheets. Or lightly shape into balls just smaller than your fist.
Bake at 375 degrees for 16 minutes. Insert a toothpick to be sure they are done. When ready, they will be a light golden brown.
