Marinara Sauce w/ Red Wine

Ingredients
1 tsp. olive oil1 cup chopped yellow onion1 1/2 tsp. minced garlic1/8 tsp. crushed red pepper flakes1/2 cup good red wine, such as Chianti1 (28 ounce) can crushed tomatoes or plum tomatoes in puree, chopped1 tsp. splenda1 tbsp. chopped fresh flat leaf parsley1 1/2 tsp. kosher salt1/2 tsp. black pepper
Directions
Heat olive oil in pan. Add onion and saute until translucent. Add garlic and saute until fragrant. Add red pepper flakes and saute. Add wine and cook on high heat until the liquid almost evaporates. Stir in tomatoes, Splenda, parsley, salt and pepper. Return to a simmer, reduce heat to low and cook for 25 to 30 minutes.
