Italian Style Brown Rice

Ingredients
1 ½ cups brown rice3 cups water1 Tbsp Italian seasoning2 Tbsp extra virgin olive oil1 large onion, diced4 – 6 cloves of garlic (can’t have too much garlic)2 jalapeño peppers, minces (omit seeds and membrane to achieve mild flavor)1 other pepper of choice, I used a pablano pepper, minced1 sprig Italian oregano, discard stem and mince the leaves 1 26.5 oz can of your favorite spaghetti sauce (I use garlic and onion style)

Serves 6

Put your rice on to cook with the Italian seasoning.

Meanwhile; in a deep skillet, sauté the aromatics, except the oregano, in the olive oil. When they have become tender, add the oregano and sauté for another 3 minutes. Add the spaghetti sauce and mix. Add the rice and combine all thoroughly.
