Chicken sausage and broccoli alfredo

3 Tbsp. Olive oil3 Tbsp. Flour3 Cups of Nonfat (skim) milk1/2 cup of romano or parmesean cheese1 tsp. garlic powder1 tsp. black pepper2 4 oz links chicken italian sausage8 oz. cooked pasta (Fettucini is preferred)2 cups of fresh broccoli (chopped)
1) Bake sausage in a 350 degree oven on a sprayed cooking sheet until cook through. Aproximately 20 minutes. Cut into bite sized pieces once cooked.
2) Cook pasta according to package directions, add broccoli to cooking water when 5 minutes remain. Strain and set aside.
3) In a heavy bottomed sauce pan melt butter, olive oil and cook flour for about 1-2 minutes.
4) Whisk in milk and cook until thickened.
5) Add in cheese and seasonings.
6) Toss pasta, broccoli with chicken and sauce.
Serve with tossed salad.
