Cake - Gingerbread Loaf

50 g Butter1 tbs Golden Syrup (dark corn syrup) 1 egg1/2 c brown sugar1 c flour1 tsp baking powder2 teaspoons ginger1 tsp mixed spice (cinnamon, nutmeg cardarmon etc)1 tsp baking soda3/4 c milk
In large microwave bowl, melt butter and syrup together. Add remaining dry ingredients excepting baking soda. Mix soda with milk and stir in, mixture will be very runny. Pour in a baking paper lined loaf tin and cook @ 190 degree celcius for 30 to 40 minutes. Cool on a wire rack.
Makes 12 slices
