Ingredients
Directions
1 Pillsbury Refrigerated Pizza Dough Crust3 4oz cans of no salt added tomato sauce1 tbsp oregano (or to taste, I love oregano)1 tsp minced garlic1 tsp finely chopped onion1 tsp rosemary1 tsp thyme1 tsp black pepper (or to taste, I love pepper)16 ozs part skim mozzarella cheese ( or you can you pizza blend or 2% or soy cheese)1 yellow bell pepper1 red bell pepper2 cups of sliced white mushrooms1/3 of a med size onion sliced in slivers1 8oz can of well drained pineapple tidbits(drain them well or they will make your pie soggy)canola or olive oil cooking spray
Preheat oven to 400 degrees ( allow oven to completely preheat before using).
Spray pizza pan or cookie sheet with cooking spray.
Spread dough out over sheet, making sure that you have crust.
Place dough in preheated oven for 5 mins, then remove.
While crust is preparing, in medium sized saucepan, add tomato sauce, spices, finely chopped onion, stir together and turn to medium heat. Allow to simmer for 30 mins.
Spray skillet with cooking spray add peppers and onion. Let them saute just enough to bring out some of the moisture, then drain and pat with paper towel.
When sauce is ready, spoon it onto crust, spreading evenly.
Spread cheese evenly over sauce.
Add toppings. Have fun with it. I use my hands to add the minced garlic, kinda flinging it on, making sure it is evenly distributed over the pie.
Place pie in heated oven, let it cook 20 mins or until crust is a dark golden brown all over.
Enjoy!
