Katie's Homemade Applesauce

Ingredients
Apples, fresh, 4 medium (2-3/4" dia) (approx 3 per pound)Brown Sugar, 1/8 cup, packed Vanilla Extract, 1/8 tsp Water, tap, 1 cup (8 fl oz) Cinnamon, ground 1/2 tsp
Directions
Peel apples and cut into cubes. Add apples and water to a large saucepan and bring to a boil over high heat. Once boiling, reduce heat and simmer 50 minutes, stirring occasionally. Apples will break down to applesauce consistency on their own. Add sugar and spices, mixing well. Bring back to a boil for 5 minutes. Let cool before serving.

Makes 4 servings (around 1/2 cup each)
