2 lbs extra lean ground beef3 tablespoons bread crumbs1 Large Egg1 Clove Garlic (minced)Black Pepper (to taste)1 Cup White flour2 Tablespoon Butter1 Cup sliced mushrooms16oz Reduced sodium Beef broth (reduced by half)1 Can Condensed French Onion SoupCorn Starch
Combine egg, bread crumbs, garlic, and black pepper(to taste) to ground beef, if possible allow to marinade for an hour. Form into 8 patties. Start reducing beef stock (by half).
Saute mushrooms with butter until golden brown, then remove from pan.
Dredge beef patties very lightly in the flour and brown both sides, add reduced beef stock and condensed soup and return mushrooms to the pan. Simmer for 20-30 minutes.
Remove beef patties, add corn starch to thicken the gravy, allow to cook for a couple of minutes. Return beef patties and serve! Preferably with buttery mashed potatoes.
